A global movement to ensure that science is inclusive, trusted and accessible and serves society to advance health for all

Together for Science and Health is a global movement initiated by the World Health Organization to help shape the science for health that society needs to address current challenges and prepare for the future. It seeks to strengthen the role of scientific evidence in decision-making and public policy while ensuring that science remains responsive to societal needs.

The movement brings together institutions and organizations representing researchers, policy-makers, health professionals, communities, young people, civil society and other stakeholders around a shared purpose firmly rooted in science: advancing Health for All.

The initiative builds on the momentum of World Health Day 2026, celebrated on 7 April under the theme “Together for Health. Stand with Science.” This launched a year-long campaign championing the value of science in achieving better health and well-being.
